ABOUT

ME!

My name is Grigoris Polychronidis. I am 37 years old and I am married to Katerina Polychronidi Patroni, with who we compete in sport together.

I am a greek Boccia athlete and I have won 4 Paralympic Medals (Gold in "London 2012", Silver & Bronze in "Rio 2016", Silver in "Beijing 2008"), as well as 25 medals in official international Boccia competitions and 17 consecutive Greek Championships (2002-today).

I am currently ranked 1st in the World Ranking List in both, in Individuals BC3 (out of 164 international athletes) and Pairs BC3 (out of 37 countries), and have also been № 1 in the World Ranking List of individuals BC3 in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and № 1 in the World Ranking List of Pairs BC3 in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

I have a BSc in Accounting & Finance of the Athens University of Economics and Business. I am currently an employee of the Hellenic Court of Audit.
